A song of the kinds of things a being has to deal with in the world today. Something has happened, especially in our country. Our leaders say to their followers, “stand here so we can take all of your stuff and cut you off at the knees,” and the followers say, “yes please, can we have some more?” Meanwhile, giant corporations offer us meaningless entertainment in exchange for our privacy and, again, we lineup at the trough. That’s this song. Oh, and I wanted to write something with some Maybelle Carter-style guitar.
Ken Landreth is one of my favorite banjo players of all time. This whole album is amazing! Makes me miss those hot sunny days in the Mt. Airy flatlands watching these guys shred. altacke
